The exhibition was opened with an official ceremony on September 17 and the bar was cute from the vice minister of MEET Evgeni Angelov and Mrs. Valeria Jekova, Chairman of the Board of BAATPE. The exhibition welcomes and Mr. Ivan Ivanov, director of the BULGARREKLAMA Agency, co-organizer of BGate 2009.
Traditionally guests of the edition were foreign trade delegations, producers, representatives of partner associations of BAATRE . Mr. Josef De Coster - a journalists from specialized European mass media as- Knitting International, Textiles Eastern Europe, Texpress, Emerging Textiles, International Market News, Textile - came over especially for that exhibition.
BGate 2009 organized also representative fashion shows with the latest collections of famous Bulgarian companies and current fashion trends for 2010. On a special catwalk presented fashion brands as "ETERE", "KENSOL”, “KORALIA”, “LA STREGA”, "LARA VILL", “MAGNOLIKA” and “NIANEL”. The defile was closed by a collective representation of young designers from New Bulgarian University in Sofia. Organizers of the whole event were BAATPE and fashion agency "VISAGE".
The event was visited by companies from France, Germany, Russia, Spain, Italy,UK etc. There was an increased interest from neighboring countries, such as Greece, Turkey, Macedonia, Romania and Serbia, which indicates that the exhibitions is a business forum not only at a national but also at a Balkan level.
